Hey all, right now I’m 10+ levels ahead of MSQ in ARR (lvl 46) and the MSQ is really starting to feel like an annoying chore because there is no incentive to do it other than the fact that it’s mandatory to progress. Does this get better later on?

Just feels a bit off to have to take breaks from the most influential activity in the game, also playing Bard, seems super boring. Characters and dialogue in msq is very heavy on the ability to roleplay because it doesnt hit any strings and I just feel like I need to ‘catch up’ but it’s fucking endless

Their levels are pretty much entirely independent of each other but you can switch freely

rotations are p easy across the board its the opener complexity thats usually the most uhh complex
just pick up whatever you think looks interesting, as someone who has played and enjoyed most of the jobs theres really nothing wrong with just trying aimlessly for a bit
or if you are just burnt out on XIV maybe try stepping back and playing something else in your library of games for a few days, like I'm here playing Bravely Default to fix my burn out and maybe hype myself up to level up another job some more

I don't really find paladin's rotation complex, but if you wanted a "do one combo, then do the other" class then try dragoon

because it's completely deterministic

and not affected by downtime for the most part

since it literally has no GCD that is not part of the main combos
