That's a targeting filter. It isn't on by default so you'll have to check your target settings for how to turn those off. If you accidentally activate one, however, sheathing and drawing your weapon again should reset the targeting behavior to default.

Since they’re primarily singular target focused, yes. You also start at a high level so you already have later skills unlocked.
Your aoes will still sometimes outperform in terms of raw Potency if there’s 3 or more enemies, depending on the class and what it needs

Technically you can but raiding gears are usually called poetics gear, they come every 10 levels and they help you go between expansions without worrying about performance

Its okay, game "forced" you to enjoy the landscape on the ground during msq since after you proceed to endgame you rarely have motivation to visit those areas and to enjoy it

your job quest makes you colect gear pieces at at lvl 45-50 the lvl 50 quest gives you a coffer with better gear
