Several.
Having a macro at all adds a delay, and having multiple actions on one macro adds further delay and also will not work consistently
Macros are very limited by design.
They are not really viable in combat except for certain specific uses

you can use GC daily turn-in (especially when it is star), or leve quests to level up. Leve also gives you gil, so you may get some fund back to break even, or even profit if you buy materials from MB.

well it is nice cuz customer deliver is super easy to do for 2 level/week. if not, use level quests with HQ item. You can use teamcraft to see how many level quests you need to prepare materials and just mass produce them

When you macro a spell, it can't be queued up like normally. It's extremely noticeable.
Essentially, normally you can queue up an attack within 0.2(?) seconds before you are able to use it. Meaning that, as soon as your character is free to use an attack you immediately cast it. Essentially, 0 seconds of down-time.
Macros however, can not be queued/buffered. So, you have to hit your macro exactly when your character is free to do an action otherwise your macro will not go off. This means at best your spell gets delayed 0.5seconds, and at worst your spell never goes off because you thought you had been pressing it and moved on.

I played classic, and from vanilla -> cataclysm. At no point have I ever heard of any serious player doing a macro to do everything for you

It's a change to previous artifact-gear stuff. This is level 90 gear you can put on at 89, and while you're still 89 it will sync itself down ever so slightly stat-wise. Then if you want to be able to dye it, you can complete the role-quest for your class role (i.e. tank role quest for warrior/paladin/etc).

it still takes skill on RDM cuz squishy.
GNB is the "safest" in terms of squishy, but you'll be racing the timer.
most classes can clear solo nowadays tho, even tho you'll be bashing your head against a wall

SSS should be clearable w/ min-ilv.
so if you have issues 10 ilv. higher, you have an issue in your rotation
