That's actually how I got my Gunbreaker and Dragoon relic pieces for ShB relic lol. Farmed triple the drops I needed on Bard.

Then I just had them in inventory, took the quest as Gunbreaker, immediately turned it in, swapped to Dragoon, rinse, repeat.

When you go into places like an Inn room, your personal house/apartment, or your squadron room, there will be an object called the Glamour Dresser. You can store gear you like inside for the cost of one glamour prism. Then, while you're in the Dresser menu, you can bring up and edit plates as a preset look you like to go back to. Once you have a plate saved, applying it as a glamour over your current outfit costs no prisms.

positionals are there to give you an opportunity to improve your damage. if you find them overwhelming for now you can ignore them until you're more comfortable with the job

Also, while you can absolutely still have higher damage with a single attack standing out of position, based on the combination of RNG, crit, and dhit; if you collate a long string of your damage output ignoring positionals, and then adhering to them, you will notice your average output will be higher.

Other than that, though....depends on the class.

Dragoon you can tell if you hit your fifth single-target chain correctly because your first skill will upgrade.

checking it out quickly in teamcraft, you can macro the minimum collectability for resplendent materials with BiS crafting current gear, but that's a stupidly expensive set of melds, and it barely meets the reqs, so I guess you have to craft more too. Could optimize since I just threw together a quick rotation but doubt you can get to the 2nd tier, although I assume next tier of gear upgrades it'll be doable without crazy melds

FFLogs majorly reflects reality. And the reality is that Paladin, even when accounting for its advantage in being able to keep damage up-time on the boss at range, deals less damage.

Does this make Paladin unable to clear content? No. Of course not. DPS checks aren't that tight.

Does the above mean that Paladin is on par with the other tanks? Also no. It does notably less damage, even with higher uptime.

I've been trying to get into the EW extreme trials for the first time, but after over an hour in queue and pf groups only asking for people that know what they're doing/farming groups, how the heck am I supposed to learn the fight? I watched MTQ's videos but putting into practice is another thing. Should I just keep waiting? Try to make my own practice group?

There’s a 3% difference between warrior and paladin. That leaves around 5-6% difference in overall damage from warrior to gnb. If we account for the tax that ranges get vs melee and apply the same thing here it almost directly carries over. You trade full uptime for dps. again it’s so marginal it doesn’t make a huge difference outside of doing content. If you’re speed running, racing content then don’t play pld ig?
