Finish the MSQ for the zone, then get flying. Flying is the fastest riding speed.
You can get faster ground riding speed, but it's not worth the time or effort, mostly.

It's been a long time since I did that particular quest. Like, I did it back in Heavensward long, and the class mechanics were entirely different back then, so my recollection isn't going to be much use beyond telling you to simply pay attention to the NPCs.

Another thought for you - how's your gear? If your weapon ilevel is low, that could explain why you're struggling to keep the NPC alive.

I leveled it through dungeons in EW, and there are a LOT of bosses where you simply cannot stand and cast long enough to do a full rotation without very careful planning and/or a willingness to stand in a lot of bad.

learning how to juggle DPS and healing is admittedly pretty tough, especially on the duties where you have NPCs to focus on keeping alive instead of party members
if you fail a solo duty once, you should be able to reenter it on an easier mode, and if that fails, you can always level up a bit more and gain better gear
your level and stats will still downsync to the max level of the solo duty, but you'll still be stronger than if you go in as a fresh level 40

Hey guys so uh, fairly new player => Got hooked in PotD~ leveling my aetherpool gear currently. I definitely want to give Necromancer title a shot eventually, but I also saw I can downgrade my gear by 10 to gain grip~ then trade those for cool glamour weapons. 3grips for base glamour "light" weapons, 6 more for the "red"-ish version~ or something like that.
Question is... how hard is to level weap/armor to max 99~ I really want to max them asap but if i'll have to downgrade from 99 later to get glamour will it be painful to re-level it to max? Also, if I want both versions for glamour, that's 3 for white then 3 for 2nd pair+6 for the trade, 12 total per weapon set? I just wonder if I should I just take few days to keep them around 60-70 and grab all of those I want before committing to maxing it for 100+ push?

And about 180, I guess to go over 120-130 you Really need to get your aetherpool gear maxed from what I heard, meaning you will need to first focus on just running 60-100~ as high as u can, die, repeat. From experience when I tried floor90 boss with gear at 65/65~ comparing it with vod of someone with maxed weaps, hp pool etc.. was like different game.

aphorism is only reward from roulettes (not all mind) once a day if you do them as a lvl 90. after wards you either spam the lv90 dungeons themselves or do hunt trains

Isn't it a bit strange that the normal raid requires 565 ilvl? Meaning at least half of your gear has to be aphorism tomes, that seems like a lot of prep for a normal raid

Okay thanks 🙂 I'm working on making a list of all of the materials I need to get all of my crafters to 80 from 70 using collectables. But I can't find a site that has the XP updated after the stat/xp changes... teamcraft shows a percentage but that doesn't help me since it doesn't specify what level the percentage is from, and collectables skip levels.

raids always have a semi decent ilvl req, you'd need to be grinding old tomes(which is the current tomes for now) to do them, or buy crafted gear(which isn't available yet)

right side accesories are 180 tomes each

tomes aren't hard to come by. do an expert roulette daily and follow along on a hunt train or two and you'll be swimming in them
