It's best to use it early on in big pulls. It'll absorb more damage when there are more baddies on the field.

at best you can skip a few mechanics but a lot of savage mechanics aren't stuff you can necessarily survive just because you have more hp, although more dmg would make some fights easier probably, but you'll need to test each fights, you'll likely need to know mechanics for most though

it's very largely poetics grind, with a bit of playing inbetween. I think it'd be like 10hours for light/dungeon clears/FATEs maybe, but you also need to find like 6000poetics on top which can take a while if you're not just passively buying stuff over time

How do I unlock melding?

Complete Forging the Spirit (materia extract/npc melding) and Waking the Spirit (player melding) in Central Thanalan.

How can I get my gear melded?

To meld visible Materia slots a NPC melder in any major city will do (marked with a Blue Materia icon on the map). To overmeld gear you'll need to request another player to meld your gear or to do it yourself.

Why can't I meld this Materia to my stuff?

Every Tier of Materia has a minimum item level requirement that gear must meet to allow melding of that Tier. Tier 6 Materia requires an item level of 290 while Tiers 7 and 8 require an item level of 420.

Why is my meld giving +0 stats?

Every item has a maximum amount of stats that can be given through melding and the natural stats found on the gear. This can be seen at the bottom of the Materia Melding menu, as seen in the picture below.

The secondary stat with a higher number is already at the cap and cannot be further melded.

We cannot meaningfully discuss or draw major conclusions about Endwalker job balance for a number of reasons:

1. The currently available gear is too limited/inconsistent, and future gear’s mainstat/substat distribution may affect balance.

5. Preliminary data is often misinterpreted and spread, causing more in harm than good.

Job balance is better left for approximately 1 month after Savage release, since there are more recorded runs, better gearing options + BiS sets, and fight designs are known.

Any current definite claims about job balance are at worst clickbait or pure speculation, and at best educated guesstimates that are subject to change as available information changes.

I think new statics now will use the next savage tier as a benchmark, with obviously preference for ppl who did raid previous tiers

but asking to have done E12S is limiting the pool of recruitment and ultimate statics can churn through ppl rather quickly once ppl figure out the effort involved into clearing

there are PF for uwu and ucob, less now cause new expansion but I still see some every now and then, you can just try that

out of the things you listed though nothing comes close to comparison, all of these are extremely easy fights
