but for lvling retainers, you can just equip a lvl 1 weap and spam quick ventures for max xp regardless

at max lvl you can just throw your job's AF armor on your retainer since it's free

and drop some of the many accessories you'll get from dungeons

Also, better gear means more rewards from gathering/hunting ventures.

For instance, you can get 10-20 crystal shards early on with low-level gathering gear.

But they generally go south really quickly if the Tank and Healer aren't coordinating or paying attention.

Dungeon difficulty in general ramps up over time, to the point that dungeons in ShB hit very hard and the mobs are very beefy at the ilevel you're supposed to be doing them at.

I downloaded the Square Enix Software Token App but I can't complete the enter registration information step as I do not have the Registration Password (Don't Remember it) and I can't get it without logging into the account.

The list only updates when you level up to unlock the higher level turn ins. Anything below the collectability requirement will have to be discard, or maybe sold to a vendor if possible.

You might find some old info online about the list changing regularly, but that's not the case anymore.

i am on my third tab of the hunting log and now all the enemies are across all the different continents/cities. i dont know where my main story quest is going to be bringing me and if i should nab the hunting log enemies when i am anywhere remotely near them (ie., on the same cointinent) during the story quest, or if i will naturally encounter all of them doing the story. is there at all a logical way to do this?

it seems like most of my time is spent walking between places and with both hunting log and main story quest requiring me to cover a lot of ground, it seems like a good idea to try to make use of any overlap in the places i am walking

but i am not sure if it is right to trust that the story will make me naturally encounter these enemies by proximity, or if the hunting log and msq are just entirely separately designed things and i am just trying to fit a square in a round hole

The hunting log isn't really needed if you're doing MSQ. You can always come back to it later if you want to complete it for the sake of completion.

Practically it's really only good for leveling alt jobs below level 15. And the GC hunting log is needed to rank up in your GC, but it's not a requirement for the MSQ either.

The MSQ tends to guide you along areas where the currents are, so it tends to be most efficient if you do them while you're going through the story. Since the last MSQ in a zone will give you the final Quest Aether Current, just knock out the other four as soon as they unlock and you'll be flying as soon as you get to that point.
