When can I get my first mount?
The quest that allows you to use mounts, ''My Little Chocobo'', is unlocked by completing the level 20 main story quest ''The Company You Keep''. The quest is located at the Grand Company base you chose, and you'll need to buy a Chocobo Issuance from your Grand Company Quartermaster. You can get the 200 required Grand Company seals by doing the main story quest that comes immediately after ''The Company You Keep''.

Are there any differences between mounts?
Some mounts allow multiple people (2/4/8) to ride at once, with all mounts having the same movement speed. A partial exception to this rule is the SDS Fenrir, a mount from the Mog Station. The SDS Fenrir acts as if you have the first mount speed boost obtained from completing specific quests in the story, making it a bit faster than other mounts, but only until completing the relevant story quests for that zone.

Can I make my mount faster?
Zones have one or two ranks of mount speed that increase the ground speed of mounts. The first rank comes from completing specific quests in the main scenario quests, with the second rank coming from Riding Maps which are bought with either Allied Seals, Centurio Seals, or Bicolor Gemstones. Mount Speed Boosts do not increase the flying speed of mounts.

Seeying how many others had a similar issue with " Unable to obtain character data " in menu, I found a fix that worked for me and I'll leave it here in case someone searches for a fix. Use the "visit another world server" feature and your character data will get updated. Hope it works for you too.

Why am I getting so much xp from a level 71 Trust? I have Road To 80, the 30% earing, a 10% FC buff, 100% armory bonus, and 3% food bonus, but that just comes out to 243%, wheres the other 231% coming from? This is a Trust boss for example:

If you pull too little, they pump numbers up.

Around 2-3 packs seems to be the sweet spot.

Hello guys, I'm new to FFXIV and MMO’s in general (I started 3 days ago) and I’m confused about the payment system. I’ve been enjoying the game a lot with my girlfriend lately and I just want to be able to play the game together with her without the limitations as both of us are currently on the free trial.

Which pack should I purchase? Is the starter edition sufficient for the both of us? Or should we get the standard edition? If we do buy the standard edition, do we have to keep purchasing the standard edition every month?

I don't think so, the 2nd job you want to use needs to be of level for the quest, so I'm assuming you're doing at minimum lvl 80 quests so you'll need your 2nd class to be at least lvl 80 before collecting rewards

taht don't allow you to progress

so skipping trash is not an option in many dungeons

Yes, the lobby servers are overloaded right now. If you reconnect fast enough, it keeps your place in the queue.

if it helps, when i woke up this morning, which would be around 03:00 GMT (8 for me), I logged in without ANY queue whatsoever, even the usual "15 players in queue" didn't pop up. I went to log in about an hour ago same server and was greeted by 4k queue. so you will have to use super off times to do stuff i reckon
