You can buy Ironworks gear for alt jobs with them, or prepare for an eventual Anima Weapon by buying the materials in advance with them from the vendors in Gridania, Limsa, or Ul'dah.

Though, I'm actually not sure if you can buy them from the vendors at this stage.
