As someone who never reads stories in games, for me, I feel as long as you get the gist, especially in cutscenes, you should be fine. There's a lot of filler fluff quest text.

I've been doing a lot of maps for a while now and I've been wondering about the title that you get from getting to the end of a thief map 20 times for a while now.
There's 3 doors in each chamber of a thief map, and 7 chambers in each. Assuming it's a 1/3 chance of getting to the next chamber, and you have to do that 7 times. Which means that theoretically the overall chance is 1/3^7 which in 1/729.
This is kinda ridiculous, assuming that you get to the end once every 729 runs, that would mean you need to run about 15000 thief maps which is just ridiculous. Is the title reward just a joke?

Frankly, despite the fact that the 2.1-2.56 quests give minute amounts of xp, you can still gain anywhere from 3-5 levels before even entering Heavensward just doing content unlocks.

HOWEVER you can't just queue for them with duty finder, you'll basically need a premade group from party finder

Point and fact: I've been doing semi-blind progression on E8S with friends (just for fun), and even though we outgear the encounter by a LOT at this point, we're still working on Light Rampant.
Which is fairly early in the fight.
