this gives a very basic explanation
but if you want a bit more in-depth, I can help you out
"Secure" is about securing three possible points of interest: one to the left of your base, your base, and to the right of your base
in addition, drones pop up in the middle at specific intervals, that award points based on that team's amount of damage to the drone
and later in the game, a large drone will spawn awarding a lot of points
"Seize" is similar to Secure with points of interest, but instead of always being to your left and right, they will pop up in a random-like manner throughout the map
and you will need to keep it under your control
so defending objectives and pushing is how Seize generally works
"Shatter" only has one real point of interest, but your objective is to destroy small ice and large ice, similar to how the drones work in "Secure"
and Nadaam is like Seize except that the points of interest that spawn, only need to be claimed once
as soon as they are claimed, they generate you points and you never need to interact with it again
amongst all modes, you get "Battle High" for killing players or contributing in player deaths
a kill gives you 10 points to 100, an assist gives you 2 to 100

amongst all the modes
the better you get at your job in PvP, the easier it is for you to see how to play

note that 'ignore cure 1' mainly applies to post-50 content, you get waaaay more mana control options later on. if you don't use cure1 when doing synced 50 raids you're going to run out of mana, fast. it's not a problem in dungeons since the fights rarely go on long enough to matter, but if you're doing, say synced arr extremes or coils, you pretty much have to use cure1 to survive

your FC allegiance is entrely separate from your character's GC
even then i actually have zero clue what standing with a particular GC for an FC actually does

For each increase in standing the costs for the buffs also decrease. There are certain boosts for certain ranks as well. Sworn gives a 7% reduction to all teleports within that GC's region, for example.
