hey, ive heard two conflicting things in terms of selling or keeping materia now or after patch: some people told me to keep them because they will be used a lot after EW release, others said i should sell them now because they will be useless since new materia tiers will come out.

Since you can hold a atonement stack, you can use it to replace a weaker GCD under FoF
IE the Riot blade
Thus giving more potency

If you are playing a lot for the next weeks, you might be able to get gear for Reaper too when Endwalker comes out. Granted that Dragoon is absolutely not required to get reaper, but since you shows interest in playing Dragoon, might as well kill two birds with one stone

Yeah for the Zodiac each of the quests unlock the method of upgrading, so for future weapons you need to retrace your steps to the NPCs if needed to get the stuff
