How can I get my gear melded?

To meld visible Materia slots a NPC melder in any major city will do (marked with a Blue Materia icon on the map). To overmeld gear you'll need to request another player to meld your gear or to do it yourself.

Why can't I meld this Materia to my stuff?

Every Tier of Materia has a minimum item level requirement that gear must meet to allow melding of that Tier. Tier 6 Materia requires an item level of 290 while Tiers 7 and 8 require an item level of 420.

Why is my meld giving +0 stats?

Every item has a maximum amount of stats that can be given through melding and the natural stats found on the gear. This can be seen at the bottom of the Materia Melding menu, as seen in the picture below.

The secondary stat with a higher number is already at the cap and cannot be further melded.

Quick Launcher is used by a large chunk of the community, streamers, etc
Square's stance on it is, dont ask dont tell
as long as it isn't modifying the game in such a way to push it to cheating territory, they turn a blind eye,
just dont go promoting it in game

its an in-memory mod only, the moment you stop running the game via the quicklauncher, there are no mods anymore,
it doesn't actually modify actual game files

Scanning packets isn't really detectable. Heck, Wireshark is used at a professional level to do just that type of stuff.

in the client directly, no, but outside of client, very much so

many game anti-cheat systems do this

to prevent packet manipulation using man in the middle programs

MODIFYING packets, will. Theres a large difference from reading packets to modifying them.

the only way to stop this ever being detected, would be to use a system inbetween your computer and the network conneciton

but FF14 isn't that sophisticated , so this isn't an issue here

but other very protected games

and many will not launch if something like wireshark is loaded

Where should I go to get some lv70 crafter accessories. I have discovered during a beast tribe quest I am comically undergeared, like apparently I still have on LV1 bracelet that doesn't even give crafter stats, I just never actually got anything better.

Well, for Fishing you need to have "Collectible" toggled on when doing your stuff so I imagine you need the equivalent for crafting.

If u have crafters already at lvl 80, do custom deliveries and collectables to get Crafter White Scripts, then use them to buy lvl 80 gear and accesories with an NPC at eulmore.

Basicly, find highest LV zone you can deal with (I used outside matoyas cave as I was still on Hevensward but other places work too including Kholousa), you pull mob, Friend (not in party) takes ago and kills. I hit 60 in under an hour but I had the preorder earring.
