IIRC; If you start a daily before reset but don't finish it until after, it counts as the next days daily so you're "losing" the prior days if you weren't finished already, but if that's the case, I could start daily leveling something like 15min prior to reset and "finish early" so to speak. Or start MSQ daily 30min before reset and finish after reset and get it done, right?

No conditional checks for spells (e.g channeling/not channeling)
Don't feel bad, I mained (the worst spec) healer in WoW and it was hard there with all the help.

it's fairly easy to play but there's a learning curve to limited mobility jobs and asinine levelling experience involving relearning the rotation constantly. depending on input of choice grouping of skills might be annoying since after a certain point it starts getting really crowded and easy to forget the teleport to teammate/back to ley lines skills (or how helpful swiftcast is for shooting and scooting).

There's no right order aside from "it becomes available at X level" where X is a level cap (50/60/70/80). typically indicate an important side quest for some reason or another. Blue quests unlock additional content of some sort, like optional dungeons, raids, optional trials, and (in HW zones and later) aether currents.

There are some side quests which are required for the MSQ, but those will appear on your MSQ tracker, and don't need to be completed until the game forces you to do so. Namely unlocking Titan (Hard) and the Crystal Tower in ARR.

If you've already done them, I don't think so? Because they're a separate section of NG+
BCoB isn't required content. It's sort of a "this is what Alisaie was up to during ARR while you were hanging out with Alphinaud". Wraps up some plot points from 1.0, but isn't required to understand the later MSQ, really.
If you're just trying to get back into the swing of the game and remember what was going on, doing the MSQ NG+ should be more than sufficient.

Hmm, in that case, maybe do the Crystal Tower NG+ chapters after completing the ARR 2.0 NG+ chapter.
So do MSQ NG+ through "The Ultimate Weapon", then do The Legacy of Allag (Crystal Tower) chapters, then continue on and do the rest of the MSQ straight through from there.
