Hi, I was wondering how to manage my mp as a level 33 WHM? I see a lot of people saying to stop using Cure I and go for Cure II as soon as I get it, but Cure II is draining my mp. I'm also trying to contribute to dps. I don't have any oGCD heals yet. So do I just sit back to regen instead of trying to do my "ABCs"? I'm still running out even with Lucid Dreaming

Black mage might be the opposite of 'fast paced' though depending on how you define it.
BLMs are the definition of a fixed artillery. They try not to move at all as they bombard their enemies. Easy to learn, hard to master
At later levels, you even start learning how to take advantage of our small hitbox to even stand on the edge of enemy AoEs to continue blasting spells unabated

If you want a more mobile mage however, you can consider the Red Mage.
Might not be as explosive as the BLM, but certainly more mobile with additional utility such as a heal and a raise (tho they're preferably better off not used if u can help it)

Idk about other classes, but for WHM, we rarely ever run out of MP. We have a 1min cd 30s duration MP regen action, as well as an action that allows us to cast spells without using MP for a duration.

Unless i'm spamming high cost actions like Medica, WHM shouldn't have to worry so much about our MP

Healing Up Buffs

There's two notable types of healing up buffs in the game. The most common for healers to have is written as "increases healing magic potency." Skills with this phrasing buff the outgoing healing done from GCD heals only by the person(s) with this buff applied, and it does not affect oGCD heals.

Healer actions with this effect:
• Neutral Sect (AST)
• Fey / Seraphic Illumination (SCH | applies to the whole party)
• Dissipation (SCH)
• Temperance (WHM)

The other type is written as "HP recovery via healing actions." Skills with this phrasing increase the amount of incoming heals on the target with this buff and the increase is applied to ALL heals, including oGCDs. With the exception of Asylum, these skills come from non-healer roles, so it's helpful to know how they function.

Actions with this effect:
• Asylum (WHM | Players must be inside the bubble to receive buff)
• Mantra (MNK | AOE buff)
• Nature's Minne (BRD)

'How can I unlock Flying?'

Flying is unlocked in A Realm Reborn zones simply by completing the level 50 story quest 'The Ultimate Weapon'.

Flying is further unlocked in the expansions through the collecting of a zone's Aether Currents, with every zone having ten 'green' Aether Currents found in the overworld and five 'yellow' Aether Currents obtained through the MSQ and side quests marked with a plus sign. Azys Lla is the only zone to not have any green Aether Currents. You must collect all Aether Currents in a zone to be able to fly.

'Where can I find the green Aether Currents?'

Upon obtaining the Story Quest 'Divine Intervention' you get the Aether Compass, which is a key item you can use to locate the nearest non-quest Aether Current.
