It's just a matter of fact, honestly. GPU is essentially meaningless in high load areas and FFXIV is just a single core bound game. That still applies even on PS4 which is why it took for the PS4 pro for FFXIV to even get near 60 FPS

its not a super big difference, but the basically the half barding doesn't have quite as much armour as the barding you get when you unlock your chocobo

Try checking where it is trying to download it, it might be that your ff14 is in a different location to where the game is checking for it, and if that is an unfixable issue and your c drive lacks the space, you could always try making a symbolic link in a c-drive folder to trick the installer into thinking the folder is in c-drive when its actually in d-drive

So what I would do is make sure your gearsets and stuff are copied somewhere else and I would delete your FFXIV folder in "my documents" because IIRC that will reset the launcher to be as if you just opened it for the first time and then I'd just enter your log in details etc etc and see if it works them after launching from Steam

All combat jobs do the same thing in terms of ventures just pick something you actually have levelled so you can gear it and have it be a decent level

Yeah I feel ya. I'm in the same boat and I hope this works out for you but I'm kinda out of ideas except that IF it's downloading into a separate folder maybe there is some way to get Steam and point at your preexisting game folder and go "no look it's here you idiot" but I'm not well versed in Steam settings

the problem is not steam who directly run game, it refers back to SE launcher that check file not working
