d1 means "damage dealer 1". You stand where you see the macro instruct you to stand. Some macros will refer to m1-2 and r1-2 instead of d1-4, in that case it's split into rangeds and melees, although depending on the actual team composition, someone may have to take another group's place.

After you do your roulettes, yes
it would be better do queue for highest available dungeon

but ONLY if your queues are great

AKA you're a healer or a tank
Otherwise, Palace of the Dead is a great alternative

after that it becomes pointless for that day
if you lvl dps your queue times will be really long
so for lvl 1-60 it is recommended too do PotD or Squad Dungeons (with your grandcompany squad)
