I haven't had the mouse long, but my left thumb rests at about where the 5 is. 5 is the aoe gcd, 6 is single target gcd, 4 is an instant cast. 1-3 are the main dps spells. The rest you don't use as often. Physick's still on 9 because of levelling duties

I leave it on guard all the time. I probably shouldn't though. I haven't micromanaged the pet since levelling Arcanist at like level 5, to stop carbuncle pulling multiple mobs.

Can I make my mount faster?
Zones have one or two ranks of mount speed that increase the ground speed of mounts. The first rank comes from completing specific quests in the main scenario quests, with the second rank coming from Riding Maps which are bought with either Allied Seals, Centurio Seals, or Bicolor Gemstones.
