is this information accurate: when youre in the walking dead state, you need to heal 100% of your hp. So if you havee 100hp, you need to receive 100 hp worth of heals, not counting overhealing. But since you start at 1, that means a full heal, like with benediction, brings you to full by healing only 99hp. That means you need to be healed, take some damage, then get more heals

How do I unlock melding?

Complete Forging the Spirit (materia extract/npc melding) and Waking the Spirit (player melding) in Central Thanalan.

How can I get my gear melded?

To meld visible Materia slots a NPC melder in any major city will do (marked with a Blue Materia icon on the map). To overmeld gear you'll need to request another player to meld your gear or to do it yourself.

Why can't I meld this Materia to my stuff?

Every Tier of Materia has a minimum item level requirement that gear must meet to allow melding of that Tier. Tier 6 Materia requires an item level of 290 while Tiers 7 and 8 require an item level of 420.

Why is my meld giving +0 stats?

Every item has a maximum amount of stats that can be given through melding and the natural stats found on the gear. This can be seen at the bottom of the Materia Melding menu, as seen in the picture below.

The secondary stat with a higher number is already at the cap and cannot be further melded.

Near the aetheryte in Eulmore, there are some vendors that sell gear for tomestones. For weapons, you'll need to buy 10 of a certain token, and 1 of a certain special tomestone. I think the NPC is "Fathard", try talking to him and seeing what he sells, and what you need to get it. You can also just buy ilvl510 "Exarchic" weapons on the market board if you want

I’ve recently leveled ninja to 78 and I am having trouble with overcapping ninki when both mug and TCJ/meisui come up again during trick a burst phase. Is it possible to weave a bhava before meisui or will that clip? It seems hard to double weave anything and I have pretty good ping

What do all these quest icons mean?

- These are how you reach the endgame and every other bit of content is locked behind it to some extent. MANDATORY
- These unlock a feature, instanced content, job actions, or a thing that is important for you to have. Do the ones related to your job/class and ones that unlock new content
- These usually have very little exp/gil as reward and are usually just part of the world/lore expansion. Mostly optional unless you are interested in doing them for the fluff
- These are quests you can do more than once, how often you can repeat it is up to the individual quest.

I hit level 24 and tried to make Baked Sole but it said "Level too low" so I checked and sure enough under the name it says "Lv. 30". Thing is, I hit 25, did the class quest then hit 26 and now I could make a Baked Sole. How come? I'm still not 30? Just wanna understand what gives. Can't be IL either cause my IL is 9.
