'When can I get my first mount?'

The quest that allows you to use mounts, 'My Little Chocobo' is unlocked by completing the level 20 main story quest 'The Company You Keep'. The quest is located at the Grand Company base you chose and you'll need to buy the Chocobo Issuance from your Grand Company Quartermaster. You can get the 200 needed Grand Company seals by doing the main story quest that comes after 'The Company You Keep'.

'Are there any differences between mounts?'

Some mounts allow multiple people (2/4/8) to ride at once, with all mounts having the same movement speed. A partial exception to this rule is the SDS Fenrir, a mount from the Mog Station. The SDS Fenrir acts as if you have the first mount speed boost obtained from completing specific quests in the story, making it a bit faster than other mounts until completing the relevant story quests for that zone.

'Can I make my mount faster?'

Zones have one or two ranks of mount speed that increase the ground speed of mounts. The first rank comes from completing specific quests in the main scenario quests, with the second rank coming from Riding Maps which are bought with either Allied Seals, Centurio Seals, or Bicolor Gemstones. Mount Speed Boosts do not increase the flying speed of mounts.

How item level syncing works

When gear is item level synced, melds are ignored and built-in stats are instead capped at the stat cap for the synced item level. For substats, this is the higher substat on an HQ, dungeon, tome, or raid gear piece of the same type at that item level.

For example, accessories at i475 naturally have 198 as the high substat, so any accessory above i475 will have both substats capped at 198 when synced to i475. Substats are NOT scaled up, only capped.

i530 synced to i475:
Substat A: 226 -> 198 (max 198)
Substat B: 158 -> 158 (max 198)

This is better than using an unmelded i475 item, but worse than using a melded i475 item, which is why it is still generally preferred to use non-synced gear for TEA (until sufficiently higher item level gear is available to sync).

hi, I am super confused with Ishgard Restoration. I have now done I don't even know how many different quests in The Firmament, but enough to where I no longer have any blue quests in the entire zone. I have "Work it Harder, Make it Better" quest active; which wants me to Augment my Skysteel prototype, twice.

I just have to Open Crafting Log > Goto Special Recipies > Ishgard Restoration and do that. However, on all of my crafting classes (that are level 21-22) none of them have "Ishgard Restoration".

Not sure what quest I could be missing, and I don't even know where to locate it that quest series in the completed quest journal to show you guys.

'What is Glamour and how do I unlock it?'

Glamour is the process of changing an equipment's look into a different item with the use of Glamour Prisms. You can unlock the ability to glamour by doing the level 15 quests 'If I Had a Glamour' in Vesper Bay, West Thanalan. 'How do I glamour? Where do I get more Prisms?'
