To actually answer the question, once an armor is glamoured, you can revert the appearance with a Dispelling Prism. The piece you used as the appearance base isn't consumed, so you can reapply that look to another piece of gear if you want.

Really the only way to circumvent this is to give us instanced housing, but at the moment it's not possible due to how the housing districts are structured server side. I'm hoping Island Sanctuary at least fixes some of the issues, like allowing everyone access to cross breeding gardening

Sadly there's no indicator whether it will definitely be voiced, it can transition from zone to cutscene and still not be voiced. You can change the sound levels via a command though if you're in a scene with '/mastersound <value 0-100> if I recall correctly

so it's almost never worth it to stack any job
plus you'll be missing out on some buffs

well there's plenty of dungeons and raids in ffxiv too, plus everything is available in kind-of-a perma-timewalking mode
you just get leveled down to the 'correct' level of the dungeon when you queue up for it
