There's 2, arguably 3 types of raids in ff14.

Alliance raids which are 24 man

Normal raids which are 8 man

These 2 are casual content

And savage raids which are the high end version of 8 man raids

The normal raid series in a realm reborn(lv50) is savage difficulty so it's a weird exception

The first normal raid series you'll realistically do is the Alexander Raids in heavensward

Paladin’s old dps stance got scrapped when they removed the damage penalty on defense stance.

They changed that though. Now you only have Shield Oath (Iron Will), and it doesn't affect your damage. It's just a tank stance for extra enmity generation now.

I'm playing this Game on a Controller atm and it's going good so far. LV 50 stuff with WHM No Problem. But i Started with Dark Knight and i struggle a bit.
