Heavensward Jobs and How to Unlock Them

Heavensward Expansion Jobs: Dark Knight (DRK, Tank), Astrologian (AST, Healer), and Machinist (MCH, Ranged DPS). These jobs start at level 30 and require the completion of the level 50 main scenario quest "Before the Dawn".

Those sound like PVP actions. Are you in the Wolves Den zone? That’s the designated PVP hub. It automatically changes your hot bars there.

all jobs are balanced, melee cause more damage and sometimes have better defense, but they can't attack all the time because mechanics, also ranged sometimes buff other party members, so in the end the party dps is mostly the same

@arctic linden all jobs have equal responsibility and difficulty to begin with. melee have positionals to take into account of, ranged just needs to not get hit but needs to keep dot’s / proccs up for instance.

Generally, yes. Carpenter also makes accessories in later levels to balance it out.
Some jobs get weapons from CRP, Goldsmith, Carpenter - and some jobs get armour from Weaver, Leatherworker, etc. as well.
Bear in mind that they all need materials from other crafters as well though (Logs, Glue, Leather, etc. etc.)
