How do I unlock my job?

To unlock your class' job you need to be level 30, complete all of your class quests and the main scenario quest 'Sylph Management' (lvl 20 quest) to be able to pick up your job unlock quest. Once you've done the initial unlock quest, you will be given a soul crystal which you must equip to become your class' job.

Per tier:

Third floor: Head/Gloves/Boots + Legs + Tomestone Armor upgrade + Tomestone Weapon upgrade
Fourth floor: Weapon + Chest + Random single weapon + Mount + Minion

Loot Rules: Following each weekly reset, every player has a chance to obtain loot from the Savage encounters of the current raid tier. Upon clearing each floor, you will obtain 1 book specific to that fight (e.g. Book of Anamorphosis) and a chance to roll on the loot from that floor. Regardless of if you obtained loot from your weekly clear, you will be barred from rolling on loot from the same encounter until the next weekly reset.

Entering an encounter before clearing the previous floor(s) will relinquish all rewards from previously uncleared floors. @dark pelican well for the first few levels culinarian is just spamming whatever you can craft using materials from the vendor at their guild, after that one can do ishgard restoration which is a very nice source of XP. but either you buy the mats for it (which isn't really an option) or you gather in the diadem (which is a big instance you can join with gatherer jobs to gather restoration-specific materials). Either do restoration until 80 or use crystarium leves and facet turn-ins to level from 70 to 80.

Typically Job Quests are contained within their expansions separately. If you have not reached the next expansion in , you need to continue the main story quests until you reach the next expansion, denoted by giant letters naming said expansion.

Unfortunately not. The game versions are region-locked, so you would not be able to use a version of the game coded for a region other than the region where your account is registered to.

If you're on free trial, you can pick up the level 30 starting classes AST, DRK, or MCH.
