Flying is unlocked in A Realm Reborn zones simply by completing the level 50 story quest 'The Ultimate Weapon'.

Flying is further unlocked in the expansions through the collecting of a zone's Aether Currents, with every zone having ten 'green' Aether Currents found in the overworld and five 'yellow' Aether Currents obtained through the MSQ and side quests marked with a plus sign. Azys Lla is the only zone to not have any green Aether Currents. You must collect all Aether Currents in a zone to be able to fly.

'Where can I find the green Aether Currents?'

Upon obtaining the Story Quest 'Divine Intervention' you get the Aether Compass, which is a key item you can use to locate the nearest non-quest Aether Current. Just in case anyone is experiencing similar. I was playing the morning of 8/13 with no issues. By the time I logged back in on 8/16 the Launcher/Game was noticeably laggy. I could tell by the way my mouse was stuttering around. I updated nvidia drivers and this fixed it (i think even reloading them properly would have fixed it too)

I downloaded the Free Trial of FFXIV Online to try it out and stuff.
But Square Enix isn't my friend,
The game wants me to login with my SE Account and I can login to their Website just fine but their Account Management System doesn't accept my password even though it's the right Password
The game itself want ID,Account Password and One-Time Password from my Phone which requires another One-Time Password from the Account Management system which wont accept the password that works fine on their normal website
