If you're constantly capping poetics and doesn't have anymore gear to buy, AND you're maxed out on the required amount of umbrite. Poetics work too, but they're not efficient at all. Iirc 2k poetics give like 6 crystal sand or something after you turn in the mats

No theres a ton of glamours to collect, some from market board, some from cash shop, some from raids or trials etc. Anything your character can wear can be a glamour (but cash shop items are specifically glamour only usually)

Note that in order to get around the world to other cities, you BOTH need to be at least level 15 in Main Story Quest... since you picked different starting cities, you'll need to both progress a little further by yourselves before you can actually "meet up". Shouldnt take too long!

Red Mage is fairly easy but it starts at level 50, and you need to be level 50 to unlock it too - so if you're just starting you only have Black Mage and SMN to pick from.
Which is easier between BLM or SMN is subjective so it depends on who you ask! I would say BLM, between the two but my friend would call me crazy and say SMN, you know?

They collect things based on their job - mob drops if combat, or ores/logs/fish if gatherer. A mouse that lets you hit modifiers from it will be super helpful, as well as having some of its own buttons. If you can hit at least Ctrl and/or Alt from it, as well as like M5 and M6 buttons, you'll have access to like an entire hotbar alone.

Crafted axe will get you to ew but pentamelded isnt worth it. Try another server mb for a plain weapon and augment the result. Edit just noticed the hq unmelded ones for 60k

role quests are what the say on the tin (tank, healing, melee, ranged). void quests are a sidequest string that starts once all role quests are complete, and (ex?) containment bay is finished
