How do I unlock my job?

To unlock your class' job you need to be level 30, complete all of your class quests and the main scenario quest 'Sylph Management' (lvl 20 quest) to be able to pick up your job unlock quest. Once you've done the initial unlock quest, you will be given a soul crystal which you must equip to become your class' job.

Hey everybody! So I've managed to get my CUL to 80 and I got a full equipment of 500ilvl scrip gear. I have noticed however that without consumables i still can't craft smoked chicken for example. And even with consumables (potion + food) the smoked chicken macros I found on the internet fail because I run out of CP. Scrip set has no materia slots. What should I do here? I wanted to make smoked chicken for profit but rn i can make normal quality chicken at best (20-30% HQ chance) so its not very reliable at all. I was thinking about overmelding my gear to get higher stats but im not sure if that'd work out well. I got 2400 white scrips to work with and 300k gil... what would you guys do in my situation???

Yes, there is NOTHING more powerful/worth it for your character than your Weapon. Always upgrade your weapon first while leveling if you can, that one will last for 5 at least.

You also don’t really have anything else to spend it on until level 58 story for level 60 gear, and you get a LOT of poetics if you do daily roulettes
