Make sure healer is up to the task of keeping you alive. Most big CDs are used for large trash pulls, rather than for bosses.
Like when I heal, I often pop everything for big trash pulls, but rarely have to use anything too fancy for boss fights

If you want to milk the trial for as long as possible I'd wait til the end of the heavensward patch content.
But also there's currently sales on squenix and psn iirc which end in less than 2 weeks
