The important note for Fire 3 is "Grants Astral Fire III" meaning you get three stacks of astral fire which increases your fire damage

but its only a 60 potency increase for more than 2x the mana cost, so its not efficient

By the time you casted 1 fire 3 for 240 pot you can do 2 fire 1s for 360pot

Before this, you need to do multiple Fire 1 spells to go up to Astral Fire 3 (damage buff)

Now, Fire 3 just get you there in one spell

As for Eureka, it's pretty low population nowadays, but since the instance scales the NMs to the number of players in it, you generally don't notice things taking too long to kill.

the level requirement of the roulette is just the minimum needed, it scales in rewards depending on your level

That being said, Guildhest roulette gives the worst rewards out of all the roulettes.

Your first attack is 200 base, your AoE is 130. But if you hit three enemies with a 130 base attack, that's way more effective outgoing damage on multiple enemies at once than your single-target can do.

'When can I get my first mount?'

The quest that allows you to use mounts, 'My Little Chocobo' is unlocked by completing the level 20 main story quest 'The Company You Keep'. The quest is located at the Grand Company base you chose and you'll need to buy the Chocobo Issuance from your Grand Company Quartermaster. You can get the 200 needed Grand Company seals by doing the main story quest that comes after 'The Company You Keep'.

'Are there any differences between mounts?'

Besides looks, all mounts are the same speed along with being able to fly. Some mounts allow multiple people to ride at once.

'Can I make my mount faster?'

Zones have one or two ranks of mount speed that increase the ground speed of mounts. The first rank comes from completing specific quests in the main scenario quests, with the second rank coming from Riding Maps which are bought with either Allied Seals, Centurio Seals, or Bicolor Gemstones. Mount Speed Boosts do not increase the flying speed of mounts.

Hey, is anyone here familiar with chocobo breeding? I'm trying to get a perfect 4* bird, but I'm not sure where to proceed from my current birds.

These are my current birds, and they look really good! Until you look at the endurance stat and realize that it's garbage.

So like, what should I do here, should I breed them together until I have 4* in all but endurance, then bring in a bird from outside with endurance to get 4* endurance?

How do I unlock melding?

How can I get my gear melded?

To meld visible Materia slots a NPC melder in any major city will do (marked with a Blue Materia icon on the map). To overmeld gear you'll need to request another player to meld your gear or to do it yourself.

Why can't I meld this Materia to my stuff?

Every Tier of Materia has a minimum item level requirement that gear must meet to allow melding of that Tier. Tier 6 Materia requires an item level of 290 while Tiers 7 and 8 require an item level of 420.

Why is my meld giving +0 stats?

Every item has a maximum amount of stats that can be given through melding and the natural stats found on the gear. This can be seen at the bottom of the Materia Melding menu, as seen in the picture below.

The secondary stat with a higher number is already at the cap and cannot be further melded.

there's different endgame raiding metas for like world progression, speedkills etc which only affects about the top 0.1% of high end raiders

and trying to use them for typical raiding is a bad idea

I do think saying it only affects the top .1%, top 1%, or even top 5% is being a little too reductive.

The meta jobs for prog are good for every player, because the purpose is to make prog easier.

It is objectively easier to prog with a red mage than it is to prog with a black mage, because raise allows you to see more mechanics.

Whether you are top 1% or top 50%, or even bottom 5%, being able to raise people in prog is always valuable.

But the idea of something being optimal does not mean you have to do the optimal thing if you don't enjoy it, it just means that it like... Exists.

Bit late on replying since I was resting from my vaccine. We've never outright proven main stat tiers and I don't put up a table of things that haven't been confirmed. Technically the main stat formula is wrong, but it's "good enough" (not for my personal tastes with the end % of error at high values, but every current gear sheet/app uses that equation so...). Substats we know are correct without a shadow of a doubt hence we can have them level agnostic

The person who said they're tiered every 2-3 points is correct. What we don't have ironed out is the tier loop, nor the end multiplier results of a given tier

The only level we did have fully correct was 60
