in addition to that, every class has a BiS that is some combination of savage + aug. crypt gear

if you do not want to do savage at all then your best gear is just gonna be full aug. crypt

What floors of savage drop which items?

Per tier:
First floor: (Belt/Earring/Necklace/Bracelet/Ring) x3
Second floor: (Head/Gloves/Boots) x2 + Weapon Tomestone + Glaze
Third floor: Head/Gloves/Boots + Legs + Twine + Solvent
Fourth floor: Weapon + Chest + Random single weapon + Mount + Minion

Loot Rules: Following each weekly reset, every player has a chance to obtain loot from the Savage encounters of the current raid tier. Upon clearing each floor, you will obtain 1 book specific to that fight (e.g. Book of Anamorphosis) and a chance to roll on the loot from that floor. Regardless of if you obtained loot from your weekly clear, you will be barred from rolling on loot from the same encounter until the next weekly reset.

Entering an encounter before clearing the previous floor(s) will relinquish all rewards from previously uncleared floors. (e.g. Entering E12S before clearing E9S for the week will relinquish loot from E9S, E10S, and E11S.) You will lose a chance to earn a book and your chance to roll on any loot that drops that week.

The number of players in your party that have cleared/skipped the encounter for the week will also affect the loot you will get after clearing the encounter.

Branch 2> Quest 1 (not done) > 2?

The only differences between the three Grand Companies are the looks of the equipment and where they're located. You can get more seals mainly by completing your Grand Company Hunting Log (Go to the Hunting Log and click on the GC icon), completing FATEs, and turning in crafted/gathered items to the Personnel Officer if you have crafting or gathering classes unlocked. Once you are Sergeant 2nd Class you can turn in Pink/Green/Blue-rarity gear in exchange for more seals.

I logged into my lvl 50 monk for the first time since 2016, but I find myself lost, overwhelmed, and dealing with a UI that is unusable. 'When can I get my first mount?'

The quest that allows you to use mounts, 'My Little Chocobo' is unlocked by completing the level 20 main story quest 'The Company You Keep'. The quest is located at the Grand Company base you chose and you'll need to buy the Chocobo Issuance from your Grand Company Quartermaster. You can get the 200 needed Grand Company seals by doing the main story quest that comes after 'The Company You Keep'.

'Are there any differences between mounts?'

Besides looks, all mounts are the same speed along with being able to fly. Some mounts allow multiple people to ride at once.

'Can I make my mount faster?'

Zones have one or two ranks of mount speed that increase the ground speed of mounts. The first rank comes from completing specific quests in the main scenario quests, with the second rank coming from Riding Maps which are bought with either Allied Seals, Centurio Seals, or Bicolor Gemstones. Mount Speed Boosts do not increase the flying speed of mounts.

How do I unlock my job?
