What do all these quest icons mean?

- These are how you reach the endgame and every other bit of content is locked behind it to some extent. MANDATORY
- These unlock a feature, instanced content, job actions, or a thing that is important for you to have. Do the ones related to your job/class and ones that unlock new content
- These usually have very little exp/gil as reward and are usually just part of the world/lore expansion. Mostly optional unless you are interested in doing them for the fluff
- These are quests you can do more than once, how often you can repeat it is up to the individual quest.

Typically Job Quests are contained within their expansions separately. If you have not reached the next expansion in , you need to continue the main story quests until you reach the next expansion, denoted by giant letters naming said expansion.

However now I'm hearing that you can't cross over between downloading directly though Square and purchasing via Steam. Is that true? Is there any way to just transfer my character?

the reason why there's 2 bars is because

the first bar is a fixed 3 purified sand per convert

the 2nd bar is where RNG comes in and you have a chance to get up to +6 sand per convert

so the 2nd bar will fill faster
