'When can I get my first mount?'

The quest that allows you to use mounts, 'My Little Chocobo' is unlocked by completing the level 20 main story quest 'The Company You Keep'. The quest is located at the Grand Company base you chose and you'll need to buy the Chocobo Issuance from your Grand Company Quartermaster. You can get the 200 needed Grand Company seals by doing the main story quest that comes after 'The Company You Keep'.

'Are there any differences between mounts?'

Besides looks, all mounts are the same speed along with being able to fly. Some mounts allow multiple people to ride at once.

'Can I make my mount faster?'

Zones have one or two ranks of mount speed that increase the ground speed of mounts. The first rank comes from completing specific quests in the main scenario quests, with the second rank coming from Riding Maps which are bought with either Allied Seals, Centurio Seals, or Bicolor Gemstones. Mount Speed Boosts do not increase the flying speed of mounts.

Hi, i'm currently playing the free trial and some questions came up to me regarding upgrading to the live servers;

1. From my understanding You need to buy the base game (which contains Realm Reborn and Heavensward) as well as the Shadowbringers Expansion (which contains Stormblood & Shadowbringers) / or Buy the Complete Edition (or Collectors Complete) to get access to all Expansions; is that correct or am i misunderstanding something?

2. Follow up to Question 1, if i wanted to upgrade my Free trial to Collectors Complete, can i just buy a code and redeem it, or do i need to buy it via the SQEX homepage for it to work as an Upgrade? (and am i still eligible for the 1 free month, because it specifies "new account" but mine is technically not new since it was in the free trial...)

3. Given that Endwalker is releasing later this year, (and i'm not even close to done with the free trial) would it make sense to wait until Endwalker has released before making the swap to live, as the bundles will change, and therefore it will be overall cheaper for a "new player" or does is that not the case? (how was it handled with the expansions before)

i dont know if the tentacles function the same way regular mobs do, but most enemies choose to aggro base on enmity and, while tanks to generate a lot, healers also generate a lot via healing

i was playing in my mind with with Complete Collectors since i would be able to get a code for basically the same price as the SB expansion standalone. My question was if i can redeem upgrade with that code, or if that only works for a new account...

And with waiting my idea was that maybe they throw Stormblood as an addition to the base, and move Shadowbringers into the Endwalker package after it has released, which would mean it would be cheaper/ or that the Complete Collectors will get to include Endwalker Content as well after it's release.

Flying is unlocked through the collecting of a zone's Aether Currents, with every zone having ten 'green' Aether Currents found in the overworld and five 'yellow' Aether Currents obtained through the MSQ and side quests marked with a plus sign. Heavensward Jobs and How to Unlock Them

Heavensward Expansion Jobs: Dark Knight (DRK, Tank), Astrologian (AST, Healer), and Machinist (MCH, Ranged DPS). These jobs start at level 30 and require the completion of the level 50 main scenario quest "Before the Dawn".
Since the 5.3 update DRK, AST, and MCH are now included in the free trial/Starter edition of the game, though the unlock requirements are still the same.

Job Unlock Locations:
Dark Knight - Ishgardian Citizen at The Pillars (13,9), quest name is "Our End".
Astrologian - Jannequinard at The Pillars (15,10), quest name is "Stairway to the Heavens".

Why am I Past lv50 Without the Abilities of My Job

Typically Job Quests are contained within their expansions separately. If you have not reached the next expansion in , you need to continue the main story quests until you reach the next expansion, denoted by giant letters naming said expansion.

My problem is that I'd forgotten that I had tried FFXIV back in 2013 and had an account. Yesterday I went ahead and purchased the steam bundle (Online Starter Edition + Shadowbringers - Standard). Steam shows me 2 product codes for that. In my SE account, I have "Account Basic Service" and "FINAL FANTASY XIV". In my "Account Status" it shows "A realm Reborn" and "Heavensward". I can't seem to register the stuff I bought on steam (it says it's invalid keys) and when I launch the game itself, it says I have no products registered. I'm a bit confused as to what to do. Thanks in advance if you can help, and if this makes sense 🙂 Happy Wednesday.

That's correct. You can't have both. My account type says "Standard (steam)" on it, but all the windows options are checked.
The codes don't expire, so you could hang onto them for a friend!

When you get to level 30 and you've done a MSQ called "Sylph-management" you should get a quest from your class trainer that will unlock your awakening 🙏
