But then again, my soon to be static needed a different role so I'm gonna rdm for my static too

Outside of BRD, DNC and RDM which are affected by RNG, pretty much every other job has a pretty static rotation.

For 123 and no RNG:

• As a tank I suggest Dark Knight or Warrior, they have a very simple rotation and very few buttons to press and a very static rotation
• As a DPS I suggest BLM or MCH for the same reasons, simple rotations and not many buttons
• And as a healer, WHM or even SCH would suit this playstyle as well 😄

All of those classes have not many buttons to press that you need to learn for their main rotation, and none of them have any RNG involved basically
With a few more buttons but also no RNG in the rotation, are SAM, DRG and PLD

*ofc, every class has their own encounter specific things to look out for, but those are the main classes I'd suggest

Every other dungeon in the game (as far as I know at least) is just wall to wall all mobs until next door/boss + pop cooldowns so you don't die
If you use every single mitigation you have and still die, pull less, since it means your healer can't keep up, or your DPS can't kill fast enough, which is perfectly fine and you should just take it slower

Beware of dungeons mechanics though, some dungeons require you to flip switches or something every now and then, so make sure you keep track of that too and you don't run past everything to a locked door and realize you have to walk back 5 minutes because you forgot 1 switch 😅

What do all these quest icons mean?

- These are how you reach the endgame and every other bit of content is locked behind it to some extent. MANDATORY
- These unlock a feature, instanced content, job actions, or a thing that is important for you to have. Do the ones related to your job/class and ones that unlock new content
- These usually have very little exp/gil as reward and are usually just part of the world/lore expansion. Mostly optional unless you are interested in doing them for the fluff
- These are quests you can do more than once, how often you can repeat it is up to the individual quest.

Truly, always play what you like. But to answer your question, healer is certainly more in demand - there is a DPS glut in this game like in most MMOS.
DPS queues can be 10-15+ minutes, healer queues (and most tank Qs too) are almost instant most times.

You may be thinking about "Raid Statics", in which case it still dont matter much. A raid needs 2 healers but 4 dps.

High end content is almost all 8 man so you don't join a guild (free company) for raiding

Group content for dungeons is a no-brainer, you just queue and you get matched up. Hardcore raiding only happens at endgame and is USUALLY made with preformed parties that enter to Practice, Prog, or clear the hard hard stuff. Its all 8-man content and is often totally seperate from whatever happens in a free company.
