Wondrous Tails

Wondrous Tails are unlocked by speaking to the Unctuous Adventurer for the quest Keeping Up with the Aliapohs in Idyllshire upon reaching level 60 with at least one combat class.

Speaking with Khloe Aliapoh afterwards will give you a journal that has a series of random combat challenges to be completed which award you with a sticker that appears on the right-hand side of the journal. This journal can be accessed from the key items section of your inventory.

Your goal is to try and collect 9 stickers from completing those challenges. The stickers will appear in a random location on the 4x4 grid, but can occasionally align and form a straight line of 4, which can award you with additional rewards. Multiple line orientations are possible, with 3 lines being the most difficult to accomplish. Here is an image that shows how your stickers can be lined up so you can have the highest chance of 3 lines. Use the 'second chance' points you earn from completing content with new players to shuffle your 4x4 board around to try for 3 lines! To view what the possible rewards are for the Wondrous Tails or to see when they reset, use the !wt in #kupo-bot-spam Good luck!

you can usually do skirmishes solo just walking around and joining whatever people are at. if you get into a critical engagement you can just party up with the people there before the duty starts.

the one kind of you can consider skipping are the leves for the different towns/areas in ARR, theyre usually just called "Leves of X" if you dont plan on doing early level leves (theyre mostly useful for crafter/gatherer) you can ignore them.

I've been using Flare at the end of the rotation. And only when I'm doing AOE. Run MP down low.
It's like Fire II, Fire II, etc... Flare. Manafort/Lucid Dreaming. Freeze.
Sometimes I transpose to Umbral Ice instead of straight to Freeze, depending on how much MP i have.
Basically all I need is to cast 1 or 2 spell under Umbral Ice III before I'm back to full MP.

'When can I get my first mount?'

The quest that allows you to use mounts, 'My Little Chocobo' is unlocked by completing the level 20 main story quest 'The Company You Keep'. Besides looks, all mounts are the same speed along with being able to fly. Some mounts allow multiple people to ride at once.

'Can I make my mount faster?'

Zones have one or two ranks of mount speed that increase the ground speed of mounts. The first rank comes from completing specific quests in the main scenario quests, with the second rank coming from Riding Maps which are bought with either Allied Seals, Centurio Seals, or Bicolor Gemstones. Mount Speed Boosts do not increase the flying speed of mounts.

I am German as well and am playing on Odin and my opinion is: Don't. But obviously it depends on how good your English is. But at least to me I quite enjoy the international aspect of the game and not for one second did I think that I should play on a "German" server. I think that's silly. But, yeah, opinions might differ of course. Also, you will find people from specific countries on every server.

BTW, you can hop onto other servers as long as they are in the same datacenter.

You can play on any server, people usually speak English. And there are new players everywhere. I play on Odin, which I think is one of the older and well populated servers and literally everywhere I go I see new and returning players. And if you use the Dungeon Finder then you will get grouped with players from all around your datacenter anyways.

2. you don't level by doing "kill 10 mobs" sidequests or mob grinding anyway, you primarily level by doing the main story (for your first job) and by doing actual content like leveling dungeons.
