no mythic+. tanking dungeons in ff feels like pre legion (pull everything, pop cds and aoe). It is a damage meta, so AM is not really an active thing you think about, it's baked into your rotation. Positionals far more important than WoW, so it feels a little more oldschool in that respect

Elite marks (b ranks) can spawn in heaps of spots in the zone so you have to search for it.
When you’re nearby you get a message “you detect your mark to the north/northeast/east (etc.)”

@runic parrot The main method of leveling jobs when MSQ experience isn't available is running dungeons, yes, but in your example where the class/job is level 1 and isn't high enough to run a dungeon, you would do the Hunting Log/FATE's/Combat Leve's.

Main quests are the single best source of EXP in the game. Side quest grinding is largely unnecessary. It's world building, mostly. Sometimes free gear. But for the most part it's safe to ignore the yellow side quests.

they're what are called Normal Raids, which are kinda new but also not really. the binding coils of bahamut are also normal raids but they're way harder than the normal raids introduced later on.
