'What is Glamour and how do I unlock it?'

Glamour is the process of changing an equipment's look into a different item with the use of Glamour Prisms. How do I unlock my job?

To unlock your class' job you need to be level 30, complete all of your class quests and the main scenario quest 'Sylph Management' (lvl 20 quest) to be able to pick up your job unlock quest. Can someone explain to me why Dancer is in basically every speed clear composition? Was looking at fflogs to see what groups go and just collect general data getting into running end game content and I see a dancer on every team and considering the damage difference between them and what top DPS can dish out in their respective groups I find it hard to get why bother.

I saw it's buffs I just found it hard to believe standard step, technical step, and devilment could make up such massive damage differences. For example in just a random fflogs I have up it has the top 2 DPS dealing 10m and 11m while the dancer only puts out 7m. Of course Dancer is the support DPS but does their 3 buffs give their partner THAT much damage.

Could be wrong and they really do just found it odd because whether you sort them by rDPS or DPS they're always at the bottom of the DPS chart by a lot on any comp.

How FFXIV's Meta Works

All jobs are good and viable in all content. The difference between meta and non-meta is minor, to the point that player skill is a significantly more important factor. Play what you enjoy/what interests you most, and you can make it work.

Standard Step is a basically permanent 5% damage boost, Technical Step is another 20 seconds of 5% damage boost and Devilment increases both crit and direct hit by 20%

we're not looking at 'dnc is really good' specifically, more dnc is quite good and it does everything mch or brd can do, better

And if you don't know, Crit increases both the rate of getting a crit and how much damage your crits do

So Devilment is absolutely gigabroken for the twenty seconds it's active

Ya I guess Dancer does just put out enough damage to justify putting on a team and I just don't know the math well enough. Never thought a dancer's buffs could make up that DPS difference but if they basically can while also having pretty strong defensive tools then I can see why they'd be used on basically every single team composition.
