Bozja is similar to Eureka in... not very many ways aside from lootboxes and the fact its an instance.
I hope you like FATE grinding because thats... a good chunk of what bozja is save for like- wait, is The Dalradia a massive alliance raid like DR, or is it also a fate like CLL?
Unlike in Eureka however, you CAN'T level/rank up through killing wandering monsters, and there aren't elemental strengths and weaknesses. Oh, and while the monsters- nor you as a matter of fact- don't have levels, the monsters themselves have ranks. Rank I and II monsters you could probably solo, but III, IV, and Star-ranked mobs will kick your teeth in if you're not equipped for them.

'When can I get my first mount?'

The quest that allows you to use mounts, 'My Little Chocobo' is unlocked by completing the level 20 main story quest 'The Company You Keep'. The quest is located at the Grand Company base you chose and you'll need to buy the Chocobo Issuance from your Grand Company Quartermaster. You can get the 200 needed Grand Company seals by doing the main story quest that comes after 'The Company You Keep'.

'Are there any differences between mounts?'

Besides looks, all mounts are the same speed along with being able to fly. Some mounts allow multiple people to ride at once.

'Can I make my mount faster?'

Zones have one or two ranks of mount speed that increase the ground speed of mounts. The first rank comes from completing specific quests in the main scenario quests, with the second rank coming from Riding Maps which are bought with either Allied Seals, Centurio Seals, or Bicolor Gemstones. Mount Speed Boosts do not increase the flying speed of mounts.

Which world should I pick?

You can play on any world on any datacenter within FFXIV. Aside from the languages spoken, the physical location of the servers, and the status of each world, there are no major differences. This also means population on a given server is quite meaningless.

When people say brd is the worst they mean by like a less than 1% difference compared to the next job up

Also I believe they’re ahead of MCH in rdps rankings on most fights

BRD is fine, all classes are viable, balance is tight.
