sorry to ping. Yes, i did get assigned Russia(and Europe & Other Regions subsequently) as a region, but the Square Enix store just doesn't recognise it and wants either EU, UK, France or Germany for Europe.

Dunno about how it works here since back in WoW we have our regional prices for Russia and here i can't even get it through the current sale.
Just pretty confusing, not going to complain since it may be a norm due to what i read about constant renewal sub for Russian players being a bit undercut on prices

last played FF-XIV around patch 2.4 i remember the ninja had just come out, How different is the game from then compared to now? Has there been any huge new features or improvements? I did'nt particularilly dislike any aspect of the game then just got tired of it after a while and found the GCD a little jarring coming from wow. I heard a new xpac was coming out in nov and im curious to try the game again and was just kinda looking for a cliff notes of any thing that might be really exciting to come back to? Cross Class actions have been replaced with Role Actions, which don’t need you to level up other classes. You also don’t need a class at level 15 to unlock a job.
In terms of Ninja specifically, your Mudras and Ninjutsu are now on the GCD, making them a lot easier to use

'When can I get my first mount?'

The quest that allows you to use mounts, 'My Little Chocobo' is unlocked by completing the level 20 main story quest 'The Company You Keep'. The quest is located at the Grand Company base you chose and you'll need to buy the Chocobo Issuance from your Grand Company Quartermaster. You can get the 200 needed Grand Company seals by doing the main story quest that comes after 'The Company You Keep'.

'Are there any differences between mounts?'

Besides looks, all mounts are the same speed along with being able to fly. Some mounts allow multiple people to ride at once.

'Can I make my mount faster?'

Zones have one or two ranks of mount speed that increase the ground speed of mounts. The first rank comes from completing specific quests in the main scenario quests, with the second rank coming from Riding Maps which are bought with either Allied Seals, Centurio Seals, or Bicolor Gemstones. Mount Speed Boosts do not increase the flying speed of mounts.

There isn't really any class with a similar playstyle or feel to SPriest right now. Spellcaster dps options are Black Mage (which plays similar to Fire/Arcane Mage), Summoner (similar to Demo + Aff Lock), and if you've purchased the complete game, including expansions, Red Mage (spellcaster with melee burst phase - no correlating classes in WoW).

The only one of those you can start with is Black Mage.

Red Mage is only available if you've purchased the expansions and reach level 50 with one other class. On the plus side, you're not locked to a single class per character, so you can try out different things if you aren't happy with what you start with.

What do all these quest icons mean?

- These are how you reach the endgame and every other bit of content is locked behind it to some extent. MANDATORY
- These unlock a feature, instanced content, job actions, or a thing that is important for you to have. Do the ones related to your job/class and ones that unlock new content
- These usually have very little exp/gil as reward and are usually just part of the world/lore expansion. Mostly optional unless you are interested in doing them for the fluff
- These are quests you can do more than once, how often you can repeat it is up to the individual quest.

"Match" is a glamour thing, so it's subjective. I'm not sure what kind of information you'd be looking for.

All armor sets technically have accompanying weapons. Sets go by how you obtain them, so the weapon obtained from, say E1-4 will "match" with the armor obtained from E1-4

so you should be able to go around and do some to unlock more roulettes

you need at least 2 duties unlocked in a given roulette to unlock it

you're creeping up on the first msq related trial that will unlock trials roulette too

msq needs you to do the primals on hard mode too so you'll have more from there

Crystal Tower alliance raid series are mandatory for msq as well so there's your alliance raid roulette

and then a bunch of with various lv50 dungeons are up now that will unlock 50/60/70
