so, if you get an error on the free trial launcher itself, then you might not been legitable for free trial anyway, or already has an acc but on a different platform like steam

hey, so I recently switched PCs, and I wanted to download the client and log in. I bought the starter pack so I now have a standard account, but I needed to reinstall the client... but when I go to open the launcher it isn't giving me an option to just log into an existing FFXIV account. Stupidly, I activated the code through the Mog station rather than the installer (didn't realise I would need to do that), so now it seems like I can't get the launcher to.. .well, launch. Any ideas what I do?

Hello! I am just now starting my journey here in FFXIV. I played WoW before (always a healer) and was wondering a few things. 1.) Does the race you play not matter (for stats or anything else)? I can't seem to find anything regarding special things (game changing) about each race, so I'm really hoping I can just play what I want! Secondly, are there addons. I think I read we had macros, so I can make mouseover macros, but are there addons in this game? I'll start with these and go from there....

hey, i got some end-game questions regarding resistance weapon stat point reallocation, does it matter if you proceed to the next step after changing stats? If so, is there a guide where I can check for how to allocate those stats?

there are some mouseover macros that are pretty good, like aetherial manipulation on black mage to quickly zoom over to someone or play on ast to play a card on someone without needing to change target. i personally am able to use ogcd macros just fine, but that varies

gcd macros are a no-go though

You will have to do every single objective 100% of the way. From what I remember, you retain your level apart from synced mission instances, dungeons, raids.

I usually try to heal at half hp, if it's non-tanks i just throw a regen on them instead, but sometimes even at half hp at my level the tank just gets deleted shrug

with preferred exp bonus it's fairly quick especially if you speedrun the game

a few hours

generally i would recommend you make a new char on the different data center, and try to get into a preferred world

this will get you double exp on everything and thus will speed it up

fellowships are.. useless and basically only there so people can advertise their discord servers

When I played WoW it seemed that they were exclusively for endgame content, and the social ones were usually just dead or had hundreds of members that never talked with each other.

Right now I'm looking for something with low commitment but being able to chat with people, make some friends, ask some questions.
