there are also blue quests in many of the areas in ARR that are for unlocking leves. They're not super useful (outside of crafters/gatherers) so you could skip them, they're usually named "Leves of [place]" or something like that.

'What is Glamour and how do I unlock it?'

Glamour is the process of changing an equipment's look into a different item with the use of Glamour Prisms. You can unlock the ability to glamour by doing the level 15 quests 'If I Had a Glamour' in Vesper Bay, West Thanalan.
