'What is Glamour and how do I unlock it?'

Glamour is the process of changing an equipment's look into a different item with the use of Glamour Prisms. You can unlock the ability to glamour by doing the level 15 quests 'If I Had a Glamour' in Vesper Bay, West Thanalan. Although not required, you can unlock the ability to dye gear with the nearby quest 'Color Your World'. You can get the Orange Juice needed by talking to the nearby Merchant & Mender. Items used for glamouring are not lost upon use.

'How do I glamour? Where do I get more Prisms?'

Glamouring is done by right-clicking (Square or X on controllers) on the equipment you want to glamour and choosing the option 'Cast Glamour'. After clicking this you choose the item you want the appearance on the right half of the menu that opened up. You can get more Glamour Prisms by either crafting them after completing the quest 'Absolutely Glamourous', buying them from your Grand Company Quartermaster, or buying them from the marketboard.

Botanist is a gatherer, disciple of the land(dol) crafters are disciple of the hand (doh)

Pentamelding is when you meld 5 (like a pentagon) on to a piece of gear. In game melding more materia than a piece of gear has slots is called advanced melding and you need to level crafters to do it

Anyways THE BEST gatherer/crafter gear in stormblood would have been a crafted set pentamelded and it would have been slightly better than the scrip gear you're planning on buying

Typically Job Quests are contained within their expansions separately. If you have not reached the next expansion in , you need to continue the main story quests until you reach the next expansion, denoted by giant letters naming said expansion.

arcanist and thaumaturge share gear with red mage, since both are casters. but ultimately can throw at dart at whatever and go from there

red mage gets a set of starting gear when you unlock it so only thing you'll need is accessories

Also note, for beginner classes, Gladiator and Marauder are Tanks, and Conjurer is Healer, everything else is DPS
