Because SMN and SCH have the same base job (ACN), you'll be able to immediately unlock SCH and do all of the job quests from 30-70, but you won't have the job stone or anything until you go get it.
So you'll basically be a level 70 SCH without 50% of your kit.
Until you finish the quests.
