Its a super generic error, so its gonna require some oldschool troubleshooting. Stuff like, playing on lowest settings for a while, reinstalling video drivers, perhaps files are corrupt somewhere and requires a new download?

Could be a driver issue, could be a corrupt file issue, could just be a bad patch on SEs end. (if its the latter, tomorrow theres a hotfix, may be worth waiting for it)
Perhaps try playing in dx9 mode, see if that changes anything. Internet frequently shows overclocking as the issue but.

Well, I at least know it isn't a driver issue. There was an Nvidia driver update recently so I waited to see if it occured only on the previous driver, but the most recent dx error, #4, means either both drivers are bad, or it's not the driver

I forget what level certain duties unlock, but you should have duty roulette leveling, that gives good xp. Frontlines, the pvp game type, also gives a lot of xp.

So I’m a newer BLM player that doesn’t have any eden gear yet and only a few bis 530 cryptlurker. I’m trying the high speed with tome build on ahkmorning, but have no combination of material to get me to 3600 sps, as I’ve focused on trying to get the jp opener (stuck around 3530). My DH is significantly less (around 2400) and the guide says long term to get them both to 3600ish. My question - to maximize dps short term am I better off scaling DH with SPS (eg 3000/3000) rather than trying so hard to hit 3600 sps?

Afaik sps to your desired tier has the highest stat priority for BLM. However it won't affect anything unless you jump tiers since that's how sps works. I'm not sure where the thresholds are though, but lemme check

my recommendation is to run a level 80 class and do fates in the highest level area you can - for haunting, for example, I did them in the lochs. that's because the fates scale you to be 4 levels above the suggested level for the fate, and since the fates in the lochs are 69 it scales you to early shb stats which makes them a lot easier
I was able to solo boss fates as a gnb pretty quickly, and they barely hurt me

You must buy all applicable keys for the platform you want to play on
In that case, buying starter only gives you access to ARR and HW. you still keep access to the jobs, I think, but you literally don't have stormblood or Shadowbringers downloaded so you can't log in to those zones or queue for those instances. It's a little weird.

It is strongly recommended that you put off doing old relic weapons until you're max level, as several of the steps can then be trivialized by unsyncing instances required for them.
The content is still tedious, it just goes a tiny bit faster.

which you would be doing anyway
