Also the trait of Cure 1, being Freecure, teaches bad healing habits in spamming a lower potency heal to make a higher cost spell free, even though you will usually spend more MP trying to get this proc to happen in place of just using Cure 2 in the first place.

Compared to Cure 2, Cure 1 is just vastly less efficient in terms of resources spent for healing gained. Designwise the chance to proc a free Cure 2 by using Cure 1 is probably meant to encourage using it, however the chance is too low to make it viable

they just become less noticable. It's the screen door effect because as it turns out a grid of pixels can't really draw lines at an angle, and FFXIV only has FXAA for native anti aliasing, iirc. You could use stuff like GSHADE for better anti aliasing but for the most part it's just tied to resolution

There's only 4 real choices, combat, fisher, botany, and miner. They all gather different things so it just depends on what you're looking for

All combat classes operate the same for retainers, so if you want a combat one choose a class that you have at level cap. Combat retainers get monster drops like skins, wool, and meat
As for gatherers, Fisher is generally only considered good if you do specific 16-hour ventures for the chance of rare minions/materials. Botanist/Miner have better overall value than Fisher.
