If you delete a save file you have to start back from floor 1, but you keep your aetherpool levels
After beating the floor 50 boss you can choose to start from floor 51 when making a new save

it's not worth it to buy ShB at full price then buy the next expansion again at full price in a few months (especially when every new expansion automatically gives u all the previous expansions for free)
