- You can have all of them just like you can have all combat jobs.

No, the GC stuff is always in the home city. Can always switch GC's temporarily just for something different. You keep the squadron levels, but have to re-rank. It's quick though since you have access to more ways to earn seals

Also depends on your class, server/data center, and time you're on. When I was leveling DPS a half hour queue at off-peak times wasn't really unusual.

For most datacenters it is strongly recommended that you select all of the languages endemic to the region. For NA, that means English. EU is English, French, and German. JP is Japanese and English.

A lot of the tank variance comes in flavor of play. Warrior is straightforward, visceral style tanking. Dark Knight is a fairly simple combo, lacks some defensive abilities until 70+ but good god does that change. Paladin has probably the most complex rotation since it has a melee and magic phase. Gunbreaker has a pretty active playstyle and you can give your healers heart attacks which is a plus in my book.
One big thing as an FFXIV tank is learn to use your targetable defensive cooldowns in 8 mans to support the other tank.

More than likely, yes. Deepshadow and Cryptlurker gear will be converted to poetics sets while the new 90 stuff will accept new tomes.

Until you get Fire IV, which replaces most of your Fire
Then you should use Fire III whenever it procs
Afterward, if you get any Fire III proc, you use it during movement, or squeeze it in before you swap to Umbral Ice
