The current endgame relics are the resistance weapons. You can't start working on them until level 80, but also you need to do the level 70 alliance raids first, which you can start now (assuming you've already completed Stormblood).

The only thing I can recommend is to try to clear out the ones nearby before running in to the ring. Use your ranged attack to pull them from a distance if needed instead of running up to them.
