Hi! I'm experiencing some significant issues resetting my password through the site; the whole process seems to work fine, up to acknowledging the new password, then when I attempt to log back in, it says "bad username and password" I've tried submitting a ticket through the online help system twice, but it appears to dissapear with no confirmation or anything just a acknowledgement of my submission, but I get no email or anything. What floors of savage drop which items?

Per tier:
First floor: (Belt/Earring/Necklace/Bracelet/Ring) x3
Second floor: (Head/Gloves/Boots) x2 + Weapon Tomestone + Glaze
Third floor: Head/Gloves/Boots + Legs + Twine + Solvent
Fourth floor: Weapon + Chest + Random single weapon + Mount + Minion

Loot Rules: Following each weekly reset, every player has a chance to obtain loot from the Savage encounters of the current raid tier. Upon clearing each floor, you will obtain 1 book specific to that fight (e.g. Book of Anamorphosis) and a chance to roll on the loot from that floor. Regardless of if you obtained loot from your weekly clear, you will be barred from rolling on loot from the same encounter until the next weekly reset.

Entering an encounter before clearing the previous floor(s) will relinquish all rewards from previously uncleared floors. (e.g. Entering E12S before clearing E9S for the week will relinquish loot from E9S, E10S, and E11S.) You will lose a chance to earn a book and your chance to roll on any loot that drops that week.

The number of players in your party that have cleared/skipped the encounter for the week will also affect the loot you will get after clearing the encounter.
0 players cleared: 2 chests
1-4 players cleared: 1 chest
5-8 players cleared: 0 chests

They're all complex at level 80 so it really depends on what you're looking for

The healers are the easiest to DPS with but white mage is mainly on the GCD so that's definitely the easiest one

not as frequently as you think. true north/riddle of earth and teh fact that you can basically plant yourself on the corner and shift a millimeter each way reduces your movement a lot. also rotationally you're not moving every gcd

'When can I get my first mount?'

The quest that allows you to use mounts, 'My Little Chocobo' is unlocked by completing the level 20 main story quest 'The Company You Keep'. The quest is located at the Grand Company base you chose and you'll need to buy the Chocobo Issuance from your Grand Company Quartermaster. You can get the 200 needed Grand Company seals by doing the main story quest that comes after 'The Company You Keep'.

'Are there any differences between mounts?'

Besides looks, all mounts are the same speed along with being able to fly. Some mounts allow multiple people to ride at once.

'Can I make my mount faster?'

Zones have one or two ranks of mount speed that increase the ground speed of mounts. The first rank comes from completing specific quests in the main scenario quests, with the second rank coming from Riding Maps which are bought with either Allied Seals, Centurio Seals, or Bicolor Gemstones. Mount Speed Boosts do not increase the flying speed of mounts.

So I was trying to switch computers, but the HUD backup I have was not as updated as I thought. And now when I try to go back to my old computer to download the updated backup, it was already set to the older one. Is there a way to return to the most recent backup? For more clarity, my backup file is dated July 2020. But I last played in January 2021, but I forgot to make a backup for the changes I've made since. And when I got my new PC in January 2021, I took the old backup file and used it in my new pc, now when I logged back in to my old pc, the settings are back to July 2020, instead of January 2021. So is there a way to get it back to January 2021 settings on my old pc so I can redo the backup file?

Not quite sure what you mean? Some pieces can't be dyed, and some pieces when dyed can't really reflect the original, like the white/red white mage robes tend to go all white or red/pink

Why Stone, Sky, Sea is a bad metric to measure DPS

SSS does not account for a job’s RDPS contribution via skills like Battle Voice
SSS is a 3 minute burst window where you adjust your rotation to fit in that period and does not reflect a realistic raid scenario
Different jobs will be in peaks and troughs of their burst windows
Different jobs have different SSS dps requirements
SSS is not accurately tuned for the jobs they are supposed to represent in most cases
3 minutes is short enough to be able to be affected by lucky DH Crit bursts
Certain jobs gain dps by having additional party members like Dancer/Monk

There's zero disadvantage to being in a FC/guild (as long as it's not toxic ofc) There's plenty that would be happy to have you that are low commitment. You get buffs all day, a house to teleport to that could be near a MB and have resources, and people to potentially run content with you or at least give advice.

Which world should I pick?

You can play on any world on any datacenter within FFXIV. Aside from the languages spoken, the physical location of the servers, and the status of each world, there are no major differences.

The majority of content is cross-world, with the exception of Free Companies, Linkshells, and restrictions when visiting other worlds.

If you don't mind where you play, choose a world that is Preferred or New for character creation bonuses. Check world status by using !status <world name> or via the Lodestone. For information about the status types, use !faq worldtype.

As long as the gear is at your level you are probably fine, just use the recommended gear feature. Dungeon gear is usually better than vendor gear. I'm not sure what level you are but for tanks you'll be wanting to use gear specifically for tanks (only tank classes can equip) eventually after the lower levels. Gear with a higher item level will always be a direct upgrade over tank gear with a lower ilevel.

if you start in limsa lominsa you can change to rogue at lvl 10 after you do your lvl 10 class quest
