But to give a quick key for what accessories are for what classes for pre-50:
White = Casters
Purple = Ranged + Ninja
Blue/Green = Healers
Red/yellow = Melee DPS + Tanks
Yellow and red might still be further restricted, Yellow being for tanks and red being for melee DPS

similar to the level 50 quests in between base ARR and HW, those quests don't give that much xp and will only give you a level or 2. its mainly to create a buffer so that you can go into the next expac and be able to focus on MSQ without being level locked

the main issue is just you're going to hit level 60 much earlier than that point
so it's more than just losing xp from those quests

Those are used more by controller players, but as a keyboard player confirm is useful in some situations. It progresses dialog, activates selected buttons on the ui and stuff like that. If you press it while facing something intractable like a switch, it will target it and activate it.

if you go to balance discord they have a guide on how to level up and gear your crafters to be able to use their level 80 4 star macros without spending a fortune

Played a warrior in FFXIV from levels 1-70 back during the storm blood expansion but I quit shortly after hitting 70. I found that I burnt myself out from grinding out those levels as fast as I could. I see a new expansion was announced recently, so Iâm thinking of giving the game another chance now that itâs been a while since Iâve played. I am a big endgame PvE fan (Iâve been in many raiding guilds throughout the lifecycle of World of Warcraft and enjoyed that style of endgame PvE content). I also really enjoy smaller scale PvE content like dungeons. I donât care much for collecting things or doing âcosmeticâ type activities in games, Iâm really just interested in the actual combat, looting, and progression of MMOs. Can anyone share their honest opinion of FFXIV endgame PvE? Is there a lot of content and is it fun/challenging enough to keep me interested for a while? (Edit: while I enjoyed WoW tanking I found FFXIV warrior class very slow and boring - any fun class recs?)

"Completion" means they are looking to complete the duty.
"Complete" means they are only accepting players that have previously completed it.
One color is objective, the other is requirement

Yea, the color is determined by the objective from what I'm reading. Loot (yellow), Completion (blue), Practice (green), and grey/white if none are set. Duty Complete as a requirement will take whatever the color already is.

Outside of instanced content like dungeons, raids, and trials, you would be your own levels and yes, the higher level would nuke everything. In instanced content, level syncs exists to bring everyone down to around the same level

Bear in mind, for a few jobs, there are exceptions where the crafted gear, pentamelded is actually better than tomestone gear. As well, Bozja has Law's Order gear which needs factored in. This goes a bit beyond basic advice, however. Main stat is usually king, but there are exceptions.
