'What is Glamour and how do I unlock it?'

Glamour is the process of changing an equipment's look into a different item with the use of Glamour Prisms. You can unlock the ability to glamour by doing the level 15 quests 'If I Had a Glamour' in Vesper Bay, West Thanalan. Although not required, you can unlock the ability to dye gear with the nearby quest 'Color Your World'. You can get the Orange Juice needed by talking to the nearby Merchant & Mender. Items used for glamouring are not lost upon use.

'How do I glamour? Where do I get more Prisms?'

Glamouring is done by right-clicking (Square or X on controllers) on the equipment you want to glamour and choosing the option 'Cast Glamour'. After clicking this you choose the item you want the appearance on the right half of the menu that opened up. You can get more Glamour Prisms by either crafting them after completing the quest 'Absolutely Glamourous', buying them from your Grand Company Quartermaster, or buying them from the marketboard.

How do I unlock melding?

Complete Forging the Spirit (materia extract/npc melding) and Waking the Spirit (player melding) in Central Thanalan.

How can I get my gear melded?

To meld visible Materia slots a NPC melder in any major city will do (marked with a Blue Materia icon on the map). To overmeld gear you'll need to request another player to meld your gear or to do it yourself.

Why can't I meld this Materia to my stuff?

Every Tier of Materia has a minimum item level requirement that gear must meet to allow melding of that Tier. Tier 6 Materia requires an item level of 290 while Tiers 7 and 8 require an item level of 420.

Why is my meld giving +0 stats?

Every item has a maximum amount of stats that can be given through melding and the natural stats found on the gear. This can be seen at the bottom of the Materia Melding menu, as seen in the picture below.

The secondary stat with a higher number is already at the cap and cannot be further melded.

You’ll have to unlock the level 50 24-mans as part of the story, but the rest can easily be done when they’re unlocked.

The only exception is the level 50 8-man raids as they weren’t designed with a “normal” mode difficulty and were essentially balanced at savage difficulty.

I know FFXIV comes with its own launcher though, and I know you can log in with multiple other FFXIV related accounts. So far so good. If my Sister wants to play on my FFXIV account but on her Steam, is it possible? As in, to give her my FFXIV account so she can log in and play to try out the classes and stuff I have. Changing the look of a glamoured item removes the look of the previous attached glamour

You have to go through all zones.

Anemos, Pagos, Pyros and Hydatos.

In Pyros, you unlock the base un-dyeable version which is black and no glow on it.

So i'm working my way through MSQ as SCH/SMN, and levelling up my AST/WHM/BLM on the side. But I fancy schwinging a sword or whatever around, and was thinking of buying the Hero's Journey for DRK or paladin (Need to think a bit more exactly which job). If I did that, it's just going to give me a level 70 job, and not skip my MSQ experience is it? I don't want to accidentally fast forward through the story!
